SP-Teri Figure Skating Boot Warranty

Thank you for purchasing SP-Teri boots! Our products are warranted to be free from defects for a period of 90 days from the date of purchase. SP-Teri will repair or replace, within a reasonable period of time, any boot which upon examination by SP-Teri, deems to be defective. This warranty and any other obligations apply only to the original retail purchaser and is not transferable.

By accepting your order, you are acknowledging the return and warranty policies of SP-Teri. The soles of the boots should be thoroughly waterproofed. Waterproofing materials that penetrate the leather are preferable to topical types. The skates should be allowed to thoroughly air dry between skating sessions.

The soles and heels of SP-Teri boots are trimmed to accommodate the various blade configurations that may vary from model to model. This may create a gap or space which when minimal will not affect the mounting or performance of the skate. Minimal adjustments may be performed by lightly sanding the sole and heel. SP-Teri discourages shimming.

Warranty Limitations

The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Blades Mounted/Soles Treated – Once blades are mounted to the boots there is no return available. This applies to boot and blade sets sold to customers by SP-Teri as we can’t then sell them as new products. Likewise, once the soles have been treated by anyone other than SP-Teri the boots are not returnable.
  • Boots used after partial failure or issue
  • Boots put in an oven
  • Inadequate maintenance
  • Damage caused by stretching or punching out
  • Damage caused by improper fit or over-sizing
  • Damage caused by improper footbed support
  • Damage by water and/or lack of drying out
  • Cosmetic damage and/or blemishes caused by contact with ice, water, or skate blades

SP-Teri, LLC, and its retailers, or distributors, liability under this contract shall be limited to repairing or replacing the boots. SP-Teri and the seller shall not be liable in any event for the buyer’s loss of profits, business goodwill, or other consequential damages or costs, including lost lesson time, ice rink time, entry fees, competition fees, notwithstanding any failure to repair or replace the goods.
